The surfing community is today mourning the sudden loss of Andy Irons, reportedly from complications arising from dengue fever. So sad that a young bloke with the profile of a world champion should die from an easily treated mosquito borne virus. His death will cast a somber shadow over the final stage of the ASP World Tour at Pipe.
